Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: May 9, 2026
BangkokHotel.com participates in affiliate programs. When you click a "Book on Agoda", "Book on Klook", "Book on Booking.com", or "Book on GetYourGuide" link on our site and complete a booking, we earn a commission. You pay no extra — the price is the same as if you booked direct.
Programs we participate in
- Agoda Partners (hotels) — primary partner for Bangkok inventory.
- Booking.com Affiliate Program (hotels) — secondary / fallback.
- Klook Affiliate Program (activities, tours, transfers, eSIMs) — primary for Southeast Asian activities.
- GetYourGuide Affiliate Program (activities, tours) — secondary / fallback.
How recommendations work
Our AI agent recommends a hotel, restaurant, activity, or itinerary based on your trip context (dates, budget, vibe, who's coming) and our curated Bangkok knowledge base — not based on which partner pays the most commission. We rank picks by what fits you.
That said, we do link to specific OTAs because we have affiliate relationships with them. If a hotel is on Agoda but not on Booking.com, we'll link to Agoda. If a tour is on Klook and GetYourGuide, we'll generally link to whichever has better Asian inventory (typically Klook for Bangkok). We disclose the partner in the link text ("Book on Agoda →").
Why we tell you this
Trust is the entire moat. If you don't trust our recommendations, the product is worthless. So:
- Every "Book on X" link carries the partner name.
- Every booking card includes a "we earn a commission" disclosure inline.
- Our footer carries the same disclosure on every page.
- This page tells you exactly which programs we participate in.
- We're complying with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides on disclosure clarity, and Google's guidelines on sponsored links (we use
rel="sponsored noopener nofollow"on all outbound affiliate links).
What we'd never do
- Hide affiliate relationships behind redirects or unmarked links.
- Rank a worse-fit recommendation higher because it pays more commission.
- Recommend hotels or operators with unresolved safety / labor / authenticity concerns.
- Recommend operators we wouldn't send a friend to.
Sponsored content (future)
We may, in the future, accept sponsored placements from boutique hotels or small activity operators. If we do, those placements will be clearly labeled "Sponsored" — held to the same fit-with-your-trip relevance gate as our regular recommendations, and never mixed in unmarked. We don't currently run any sponsored content.
